A motorist is set for a day in court after Gardaí discovered that they were using fake vehicle registration plates.
The detection was made by Laois Roads Policing Unit outside Abbeyleix on July 20th.
In a post on social media, Garda Síochána Laois/Offaly, said: “After some enquiries, it was discovered that the driver had put UK registration plates onto the vehicle to hide the fact that it had no tax or insurance since 2015.”
“The vehicle was seized and the driver is heading to court.”
