A 2-3-bed detached bungalow cottage on circa 5.63-acres in Co Mayo, Ireland, has hit the market with an asking price of €78,000.

Sherry FitzGerald Hanley is handling the sale of the property in Ardcloon, Straide, Foxford in the county.

This property is in a quiet rural location, being 10km from Foxford and approx. 3km from the N5 Westport-Dublin road.

According to the agent, the property has approximately 5-acres of “good” quality agricultural land with old stone outbuildings and a 3-bay hay barn.

The cottage’s accommodation includes a porch, a living/dining room, a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and two bedrooms.

Other features include a solid fuel stove with a back boiler, which heats radiators and water, ceramic tiled floors, laminate floors, and an open fire.

Commenting on the listing, a spokesperson for the firm said:

“The house was built in the 1950s and is constructed of mass concrete with a pitched, slate roof.”

“There is no central heating in place with the main source of heat coming via a solid fuel stove. The property is in need of complete renovation,” the spokesperson added.

Meanwhile, a G BER-rated detached cottage on a 9-acre plot of land has just hit the market in Co Leitrim.
