Keenan Auctioneers is guiding circa 24-acres with an old single-storey cottage in Crosskeys, Co Cavan at €195,000.

According to the property firm, the stone cottage will “need work, but that will be effort well spent on this compact, sheltered, picturesque site”.

A yard, slatted shed and silage base are located to the site’s rear.

Furthermore, the local authority previously granted planning permission on-site for two detached houses, but those grants have since lapsed.

“Having said that, it may assist in the future with similar applications,” the selling agent added.

The holding is “ideally placed” near major and minor urban areas. It is 5.7km from Stradone, 13.6km from Cavan town, 40 km from Kells and 96.5km from the capital.
