Cork Marts’ machinery auction to feature Ford County 1124 Super Six

Cork Marts will hold a machinery auction in Corrin Event Centre on Friday, August 27th, 2021, at 5:30 pm.

Organisers are taking in entries from next Monday (August 23rd) to Wednesday, August 25th.

Martin Lonergan told That’s Farming: “The venue is located just outside Fermoy.”

“We are conducting the sale via the Mart Eye app. The sale is expected to be well supported by local farmers.”

“Furthermore, the sale will include a collectable 1974 Ford County 1124 Super Six.”

“There will also be several lots on offer from a deceased local farmer, including a tractor.”

  • Auctioneer’s commission of 10% +VAT on items sold under €500;
  • 5% +Vat on items sold between €501 and €9,999;
  • 5% +VAT on items sold over €10,000.
  • A minimum of €5 + VAT will be charged against every sold lot, whichever is greater.

“We had a similar auction previously, which had a successful clearance rate of 79%. The auction was held at Corrin Event Centre and had a total of 300 lots.”

“These lots included a New Holland tractor, 399 Massey with low hours, vintage tractors and machinery.”

“There will be a number of farmers balers, mowers, cattle boxes, cattle feeding equipment, diet feeders and a vast variety of machinery expected at our next one.”

Viewing, registering, and bidding

Interested parties can view items on Thursday, August 26th and on the day of the sale.

“The registering process will be done through the Mart Eye app. A deposit will be taken via credit card and will be fully refunded seven days following the sale if no purchases are made.”

All machinery purchased must be collected on Saturday the 28th. The yard will be open from 8 am and will close at 5 pm.
