Cancer survivor to auction off bullock in aid of charity

Farmer, Gerard Hurley, will donate proceeds from the sale of a Hereford bullock to Cork ARC Cancer Support House next week.

The Crowhill farmer was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and has made a full recovery.

In a post on social media, GAA commentator and columnist, Paudie Palmer, said:

“In the intervening years, he has thought about various ways of how he could show his appreciation for the excellent professional care that he received during his recovery journey.”

“Now, in a most generous act, Gerard has donated a 26-month-old Hereford bullock which will be auctioned next Monday, July 12th at 1:00 at Cork Co-Op Marts Bandon.”

“If anybody would like to add value to the amount that that will be generated at the auction, it would be greatly appreciated. A link to do same is available. https://bit.ly/corkarc-donate-bullock.”
