Charolais Society cancels bull sale

The Irish Charolais Cattle Society has cancelled its show and sale of bulls, which was planned for Tullamore Mart on Saturday, April 25th.

It has released a catalogue containing all 73 entries, which can be viewed by clicking this link.

In a brief statement, a society spokesperson said: “All sellers contact details are available in additional information section along with each animal, for anyone who wishes to arrange a viewing on-farm.”

“Pictures of entries are also available on the Society’s Facebook page here.” the spokesperson concluded.

Sale catalogue with entries

The society released a statement last month to inform breeders that it could not guarantee if its upcoming sales at Tullamore Mart (Saturday, April 25th) and Tuam Mart (May 2nd) would go ahead, due to the Covid-19 crisis, as reported by us here.

The statement read as follows: “We cannot guarantee if these sales will go ahead or not at this time. So, what we propose is that anyone who has bulls destined for these sales, to enter them as normal and if the sales are cancelled, your entries will be returned to you and you will not be charged.”

“We will, however, produce a sale catalogue with the bull’s details, star ratings and the breeder’s contact details for anyone who wishes to view the bulls on-farm.”
