3-bed two-storey dwelling with outbuildings for €150,000

Cavan property hits the market with €150,000 asking price

Sherry Fitzgerald Declan Woods has confirmed the date for one of the first property auctions of summer 2022.

The firm will offer a traditional three-bedroom, two-storey dwelling in Crossdoney, Co Cavan, to the market in June 2022.

According to the firm’s Declan Woods, the residence – which sits on a large 0.5-acre roadside site – requires some modernisation and refurbishment.

Despite this, he claims that it is “brimming with possibilities and presents a superb opportunity to acquire a delightful property”.

He noted that this “charming residence was once a hive of activity” with a filling station and a general convenience store.

The dwelling house – extending to 157 sq. m approx. – has an entrance hallway, a sitting room, a living/dining room, a pantry, a kitchen, a reception, a wet room, and a store/workshop.

On the first floor, there are three double bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Meanwhile, to the property’s rear, there are a number of “useful” stone outbuildings and sheds.

The property sits in the quaint village of Crossdoney, is 3km from Ballinagh, 5.3km from Farnham Estate Spa & Golf Resort and a further 9.5km from Cavan town.

The property – which has an asking price of €150,000 – is for sale through the company’s online auction software at 12pm on June 2nd, 2022.

Meanwhile, Joseph Coogan Auctioneers has circa 30-acres of what he describes as “prime” agricultural land for rent in Co Kilkenny.

The land in Ballyjohnboy, Graiguenamanagh, is divided into eight fields, with a natural water supply and cattle crush.

He suggested that the land is “ideally” suited to grazing, with most suitable for silage/hay.

Meanwhile, Keenan Auctioneers/Kingscourt Mart has a circa 63-acre farm for a five-year lease in Co Cavan.

The farm is 5km from Bailieborough and a further 11km from Kingscourt.

According to the agents, the land, all in grass, is “well” fenced, and water is laid on to most divisions.

Also, there is an internal laneway, which gives access to all divisions.
