Cattle numbers and prices increasing at Kanturk

Tuesday, September 1st saw some 525 entries, including 55 calves, present for sale at Kanturk Mart, according to Seamus O’Keeffe.

“While calf numbers are seasonably lower at the moment, there was still good competition ringside for them.”

“Cattle numbers are starting to increase steadily now with prices increasing too. There was a lot of online activity and the competition was good between online and ringside customers.”

DRY COWS:

    • 1 LM – 745kgs – €1320;
    • 1 FR – 790kgs – €1150;
    • 1 FR – 620kgs – €1130;
    • 1 AA – 755kgs – €1000.

FACTORY BULLS:

    • 1 HE – 1000kgs – €1540;
    • 1 AA – 840kgs – €1200;
    • 1 FR – 510kgs – €840.

HEIFERS:
