Jordan Auctioneers sold land in Co Kildare for €19,700/acre at auction before an attendance of seventy people earlier this week.
Castleroe House & Farm, on 164-acres just outside the village of Kilkea in south Kildare, sold in five lots reaching a combined value of €3,235,000.
According to Clive Kavanagh of Jordans, this area in south Kildare has always been one of the strongest markets for land sales.
The selling agent believes this is due to “a combination of factors including “the general quality of the land and the extensive farmer base”.
