Carrick bull sale going live tomorrow

Midland & Western Livestock Improvement Society Ltd will host its first live online sale of pedigree bulls tomorrow (Saturday, May 9th).

Under strict Covid-19 regulations, 5 Limousin bulls and 33 Charolais bulls will be in their stalls and can be viewed by prospective buyers only, by appointment from 10am-12.15pm, a spokesperson told That’s Farming.

The live sale will commence at 12.30pm with bidding online only by those who must register before Saturday on www.onlinemart.ie.

“It certainly will be a very different place in Carrick on Saturday next with the social aspect of Carrick Bull Show, where breeders from the region and beyond, come to meet and chat with friends.”

“This is not possible under current Covid-19 regulations as only sellers and intending registered buyers will gain access to the showgrounds.”

“But the health, safety and wellbeing of all their loyal exhibitors and patrons at this time, is to the forefront of the committee and they know their patrons will appreciate the rules in place at these challenging times for all.”
