Carnew Mart – cattle prices – 28-01-2022

According to David Quinn – over 350 entries were on offer at Carnew Mart’s cow show and sale on Friday, January 28^th, 2022.

The manager reported a “seriously high trade throughout with customers from every corner of the country anxious to buy cows”.

“The stock on offer were of top quality. Trade throughout was very strong for all types of cows,” he added.

Prize-winners:

• 1st prize: Shay Hayden: 1 BB cow – 844kg – €3100;
• 2nd prize: Shay Hayden: 1 BB cow – 860kg – €2780;
• 3rd prize: John McDonald – 1 CH cow – 1186kg – €3000.
