Prices to €2,280 as 1,400 cattle cross the scales at Carnew

Carnew Mart – Cattle Prices – 15-10-2022

According to David Quinn, Carnew Mart saw a larger entry of some 1,400 cattle cross the scales at Saturday’s (October 15th, 2022) cattle sale.

The mart manager reported that trade “was similar to the previous week“, with highs of €2,280.

Bullocks hit €2,180, while heifers sold to €2,200 and cull cows reached €2,280.

According to David Quinn, just under 1,100 lots and a further 140 calves came under the hammer at Carnew Mart on Saturday, October 8^th, 2022.

The mart manager reported that a “very lively” trade both ringside and online at its most recent sale. Farmer and factory agents were “very active” around the ring.
