Motorist caught driving car with tax nearly 13 years out of date

A car was impounded by Naas Roads Policing Unit at a checkpoint in Kill recently. 

Using its mobility app, Gardaí discovered that the vehicle, which was last sold on July 7th, 2015, had not been taxed for 4,676 days (nearly 13 years). 

In a tweet, an Garda Síochána said: “Proceedings to follow. The mobility project is an initiative under A Policing Service for Future.”
