Bullocks up €30/hd at Ennis

Trade for the cull cows at Ennis Mart on Thursday, February 27th, was equally as strong as the previous week, according to a spokesperson.

Several quality lots at the upper end of the market pushed up to €2.00/kg, with a top call of €2.17/kg recorded in this ring; aged bulls averaged €1.80/kg.

The spokesperson pointed out that a smaller entry was on offer, with just over 650 entries. “More store bullocks and trade improved in the bullock ring by €30/hd.”

“Heifers a similar trade and in the cow ring, more of a mix of dairy and continentals and more store-type cows.” the spokesperson added.
