Bullocks and cows improve at Ballinasloe

Bullocks pushed from €2.29-€3.13/kg, while heifers fetched from €2.21/kg-€2.58/kg and cull cows went under the hammer from €590-€1,515.

“Good trade at our cattle sale yesterday, with bullocks and cow prices up on previous weeks and heifers on par.” the spokesperson added.

Bullocks:

• 1 LM – 535kg – €1,340 – €2.51/kg;
• 1 CH – 600kg – €1,400 – €2.33/kg;
• 1 LM – 526kg – €1,370 – €2.61/kg;
• 1 CH – 410kg – €1,125 – €2.74/kg;
• 1 LM – 368kg – €970 – €2.64/kg;
• 1 CH – 355kg – €930 – €2.62/kg.

Heifers:

• 1 LM – 625kg – €1,365 – €2.18/kg;
• 1 LM – 565kg – €1,330 – €2.35/kg;
• 1 LM – 565kg – €1,325 – €2.18/kg;
