Brisk trade for cattle at Roscommon

There was a brisk trade at Roscommon Mart’s weekly cattle sale on Friday, February 14th, according to Maura Quigley.

She noted that the sale attracted a good entry of “excellent quality” cattle and a large attendance of customers.

Dry cows made from €650-€1480/hd or €1.66-€2.08/kg;  

  • AAX – 810 KGS – €1480;
  • CHX – 760 KGS – €1420;
  • BBX – 795 KGS – €1380;
  • LMX – 715 KGS – €1335;
  • HEX – 680 KGS – €1320;
  • LM – 625 KGS – €1300;
  • LMX – 645 KGS – €1270;
  • BBX – 665 KGS – €1230;
  • LMX – 660 KGS – €1075.

Heifers climbed from €2.24-€2.92/kg;  

  • LMX – 535 KGS – €1540;
  • LMX – 700 KGS – €1505;
  • CHX – 635 KGS – €1470;
  • CHX – 510 KGS – €1370;
  • CHX – 530 KGS – €1200;
  • LMX – 505 KGS – €1190;
