2021 Beef & Lamb Championships to welcome spectators

The Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) has launched the fourth Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships.

Bank of Ireland has returned as the principal sponsor for the event.

This year, the coveted Championship will take place on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021, at the Eikon Exhibition Centre, Balmoral Park in Northern Ireland.

Entries are now open online at beefandlamb.org.uk and will close on Friday, October 29th at 5 pm.

In a statement, a spokesperson said:

“As always, the prestigious show and sale include a wide selection of beef and lamb championship showing classes that will culminate with the ever-popular auction in the evening.”

“Following on from last year’s success, the event will be streamed online as well as being open to the public.”

Dr Alan Crowe, RUAS chief executive, added:

“Last year, we adapted this event to be streamed online, reaching audiences across the globe, bringing this fantastic show and sale worldwide.”

“This year, we are delighted to welcome visitors back to the Eikon Exhibition Centre in November for what is set to be another fantastic show and sale.”

He continued, “We are extremely grateful to have the generous financial support of Bank of Ireland UK. It highlights our own and the bank’s support of the local beef and sheep industries.”

The Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships will take place on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021, at the Eikon Exhibition Centre, Balmoral Park, Lisburn.

The show will commence at 11:30 am, and the auction will kick off at 6:00 pm.

Admission

You can find conditions of entry (proof of COVID-19 status) online.

Admission is £5 for adults, and under 12s are free when accompanied by an adult.

Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (UFCU) members’ admission is £2.50, and you must present a valid membership card.

Entry for RUAS members is free of charge. You can purchase tickets on arrival.
