Prices topped at £13,600 at Ballymena Livestock Mart’s November machinery sale last week.
That is according to a spokesperson who reported that outside items sold to £6,200 for a 20ft cattle trailer, and inside items peaked at £500 for a 20x cast iron Victorian bannisters with handrail.
They reported that over 2,000 lots, both outside and inside, went under the online hammer with an overall clearance rate of over 78%.
They noted that the “busy seasonal sales generated a great trade” at its most recent machinery sale, with sample prices as follows:
Outside machinery and vehicles:
- 2002 Terex T200: £13,600;
- Landrover Defender 110 Pick Up: £11,500;
- Massey Ferguson 6290: £8,900;
- Case International 895XL with power loader & bucket 1993: £7,500;
- 20ft Cattle trailer: £6,200;
- JCB 812 Digger: £3,600;
- Volac round Bale collector: £3,600;
- NC 1550 boom tanker: £3,600;
- Cattle foot paring crush: £3,000;
- McHale s3000 round bale wrapper 75: £2,900;
- Vaderstadt Ring roller: £2,800;
- VMax 12 diet feeder: £2,800;
- 23ft Flat bale trailer: £2,700;
- Teagle tomahawk 440 round bale straw/ silage chopper: £2,600;
- 12ft Ifor William triaxle Cattle trailer with dividing gate: £2,500.

Crewelands Farm
The mart’s next machinery sale will take place Friday, December 9th, 2022, organisers have confirmed.
According to a spokesperson, this is a “genuine” dispersal sale from a “top” pedigree sheep breeder of all farm plant and implements arising from a change in farming policy.
