Cull cows to €2,610 and heifers to €2,600 at Balla Mart

Balla Mart – 28-05-2022 – Cattle Prices

According to Stephen Hannon, some 700 lots passed through three rings at Balla Mart on Saturday, May 28th, 2022, as part of its end of month continental sale.

The mart manager and general manager of Aurivo Marts reported that virtual, factory and northern buyers were active at Saturday’s sale.

Speaking following the sale, he said: “Cattle have become very dear and appear to be getting dearer every week.”

“Cow prices were described as unreal, while there was a fine trade for quality beef cattle, both heifers and bullocks.”

“Averages reached the €3.00 p/kg and top lots reached a new height of 3.84+p/kg.”
