Aurivo appoints new CEO

Donal Tierney has been appointed as Aurivo’s new chief executive with immediate effect.

Tierney, who has been the co-operative’s chief financial officer for the past eight years, will replace Aaron Forde who stepped down after holding the position for almost 16 years.

The chartered accountant previously held various senior financial roles with Origin Enterprises and also completed the Executive Development Programme at UCD Smurfit Business School.

Welcoming the appointment, Pat Duffy, chairman of Aurivo, said: “Donal has played a pivotal role in the leadership and success of Aurivo over the past eight years and is a natural successor to the position.”

Strategic goals

Tierney said he looks forward to working with the board, his colleagues and all other partners in our industry, to deliver on the “strategic goals” of the business, maximising returns to member-owners while “maintaining a strong sustainable business”.
