In a recent series of parliamentary questioning, Fianna Fáil spokesperson for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue, requested that Minister Michael Creed provided information on the number of applications to the 2020 national reserve and young farmers scheme.
Deputy McConalogue also requested that a breakdown be provided in tabular form of the number of applications from each county.
Applications
Minister Creed provided the information requested and added that there are further applications under these schemes that were submitted under temporary reference numbers.
Temporary reference numbers are used when an application for a herd number has been made and is still being processed, Creed explained, and therefore the figures provided are subject to change.
The breakdown of the number of applications to each scheme from each county is as follows:
