Just shy of 500 entries were presented for sale at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, June 30th, according to a spokesperson.
“Trade for bulls was very strong but heifers were a shade easier but quality in this ring was not as strong as last week.”
Almost 100 calves went under the hammer – many of which were in the 2-3-month-old bracket. The spokesperson reported a strong trade in this category, with a top call of €700 recorded for a 7-month-old Limousin bull.
A small entry of runners hit €750, while suckler pairs climbed from €1,350-€2,300.
