18-year-old dies after car collides with cow

An 18-year-old has died after the car he was driving collided with a cow.

The incident took place on the Moira Road in Lisburn, Co. Down in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, October 18th).

It is understood that the vehicle left the road around 3am. The young male died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Appeal for witnesses

The PSNI has appealed for witnesses to come forward.

It is currently conducting a number of follow up enquiries into the collision.

The deceased male was travelling in the direction of Moira, between the junctions with the Bushfield Road and the Moyrusk Road when the incident occurred.
