Jano Evans (22) says he hopes to find someone who “has the same level of passion that I have for coffee but for something else” through RTÉ 1’s newest dating series, Love in the Country.
The Wexford native divides his time between his own business – a high-end speciality business – Caféin – and the family’s 100-cow dairy farm.
He says: “I have a fantastic drive in regard to my business. The amount of work that I saw my dad doing when I was younger obviously inspires me to put the hard work in now.”
“My business is going unbelievably. It is savage, and I obviously cannot believe it. I feel like I have a strong drive, but I want to find somebody who pushes that.”
He admits: “I am very busy, but if I feel like it is genuinely worth it, I will make the time for someone.”
He adds that the “freedom you have down here with cycling and hiking, you do not get that in the city”.
“The idea of sitting on a couch on a Sunday and watching TV does not appeal to me, so it has to be someone who likes to get out and about to experience life; you are only here once.”
“Anyone who I have dated has been skinny, tall and has dark hair, but I am open. Intelligence seems to be the thing that I go for, and I do not know why.”
“I am going to wait for the person that I will click with, and if I do find that person, I will give it my absolute all. But I have to make sure it is the right person,” he concludes.
If you are interested in dating one of them, please fill in the contact form on RTE’s website or email – [email protected] – and one of the team will be in touch.
Filming is due to take place in early January.
