Dairy industry ambassador passes away

Tributes have poured in for Lady Dufferin, the Marchioness of Dufferin, and Ava, who has passed away.

The 79-year-old, best-known as Lady Dufferin, died following a short illness. She ran Clandeboye Estate in Co. Down, one of Ireland’s oldest and largest estates.

‘A fantastically full life’

Announcing her death, Clanbeboyne Courtyard said she was “a friend to so many and was beloved by all”.

“We regret to announce the death of Lindy, Marchioness of Dufferin & Ava, after a short illness.”

“Painting and Clandeboye were her twin passions and we can take some solace that her last months with us allowed her to indulge both and brought her peace and happiness doing the things she enjoyed most. She had a fantastically full life.”
