Tuam: Cull cows to €2,310 and heifers to €2,100 in ‘blazing’ trade

According to Marion Devane, a “blazing” trade prevailed at Tuam Mart on Monday, May 27th, 2022.

The mart manager reported that there was “a hype” of both ringside and online activity at its most recent cattle sale.

Cull cows reached €2,310, while heifers topped out at €2,100 and bullocks soared to €1,970.

  • 395 kg LMX by a Spiddal farmer made €1160 (€2.94/kg);
  • 395 kg CHX by a Tonemyole farmer made €1170 (€2.96/kg);
  • 430 kg LMX by a Tonemoyle farmer made €1300 (€3.02/kg);
  • 465 kg LMX by a Dunmore farmer made €1510 (€3.25/kg);
  • 550 kg LMX by a Dunmore farmer made €1820 (€3.31/kg);
  • 600 kg CHX by a Dunmore farmer made €1860 (€3.10/kg);
  • 610 kg CHX by a Dunmore farmer made €1780 (€2.92/kg);
