Dry cows to €2,620 and heifers to €2,000 at Tuam – Devane

Tuam Mart – Cattle Prices – 14-11-2022

According to Marion Devane, dry cows reached €2,620, while heifers soared to €1,640 and bullocks climbed to €2,000 at Tuam Mart’s most recent cattle sale on Monday, November 14th, 2022.

The mart manager reported that weanling heifers made up to €1,200, while weanling bulls changed hands for up to €1,150.

Heifer prices:

  • 390kg LMX by a Cummer farmer made €1200 (€3.08/kg);
  • 490kg LMX by a Tuam farmer made €1500 (€3.06/kg);
  • 495kg CHX by a Tuam farmer made €1490 (€3.01/kg);
  • 510kg CHX by a Tuam farmer made €1640 (€3.22/kg);
  • 510kg LMX by a Tuam farmer made €1560 (€3.06/kg);
  • 450kg LMX by a Claremorris farmer made €1360 (€3.02/kg).

Cull cow prices:

  • 765kg SA by a Cloghanshill farmer made €1860 (€2.43/kg);
