Roscommon Mart report – cattle prices – 16-04-2021

According to Maura Quigley, there were “good numbers of excellent quality cattle on offer” at Roscommon Mart on Friday, April 16^th, 2021.

The mart manager reported that “prices remained firm with a large number of buyers actively sourcing stock”.

Prices for heifers averaged €2.36 per kilo up to €2.84 per kilo and bullocks made an average of €2.31 per kilo up to €2.73 per kilo.

“There was an improved trade for dry cows this week with lots fetching from an average of €1.88 per kilo up to €2.34 per kilo,” Quigley added.
