Roscommon Mart report – cattle prices – 09-07-2021

Bullocks sold to €1,470 over, while heifers climbed to €1,240 over the kg at Roscommon Mart on Friday, July 9^th, 2021.

According to Maura Quigley, the mart’s 62^nd-anniversary sale attracted a “large entry of excellent quality cattle”.

“A lively trade for all classes. Bullocks averaged from €2.51 per up to a maximum of €3.27 per kilo.”

“Heifers made from an average of €2.44 per kilo up to €3.06 per kilo. There were over 70 dry cows on offer with a good clearance and lots fetched from an average of €2.04 per kilo up to €2.45 per kilo.”

“There were plenty of customers both online and at ringside anxiously sourcing stock,” the mart manager concluded.
