More customers ‘anxious’ for cattle at Roscommon Mart

Roscommon Mart Prices – Cattle Sale – 05-03-2021

“Good numbers” were on offer at Roscommon Mart on Friday, March 5^th, according to a spokesperson.

They reported that “trade” was strong with “more customers anxious for stock”.

Bullocks averaged from €2.43 per kilo up to a maximum of €2.56 per kilo. Meanwhile, heifers fetched from an average of €2.41 per kilo up to €2.95 per kilo.

Dry cows went under the hammer from an average of €1.93 per kilo up to €2.42 per kilo.

Larger numbers were on offer at the mart on Friday, February 26^th, according to a spokesperson, who reported a “brisk” trade for stock.

Bullocks averaged from €2.42 per kilo up to a maximum of €3.06 per kilo. Heifers fetched from an average of €2.43 per kilo up to €2.82 per kilo. Dry cows climbed from an average of €1.80 per kilo up to €2.19 per kilo.
