Last week’s sale:

According to George Candler, a smaller entry of some 750 lots were on offer at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday, August 19th, 2021.

The mart’s auctioneer reported that “plain animals with dairy influence were more difficult to sell”.

Speaking following the sale, he said: “A smaller sale of cattle compared to last week with trade reduced for plain-type animals.”

“The bullocks and heifers on offer were not as good, quality-wise, compared to last week,” Candler added.
