Long-keep plainer cattle ‘more difficult to sell’ at Kilkenny

According to George Candler, some 1,100 lots passed through the rings at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday, April 21^st, 2022.

The mart’s auctioneer reported that beef-type and forward store entries met with an “excellent” trade. Meanwhile, quality stores were “also in demand” but long-keep, plainer-type animals were “more difficult to sell”.
