Turnover passes €1.4m mark at Kilkenny Mart’s cattle sale

Kilkenny Mart – Cattle Prices – 16-02-2023

According to George Candler, turnover exceeded €1.4 million at Kilkenny Mart’s cattle sale on Thursday, February 16^th, 2023.

The mart’s auctioneer reported that just over 1,100 lots came under the hammer at the general cattle saw, which saw prices soar to €2,620 in the bullock ring and €2,230 in the heifer ring.

Speaking following the sale, Candler said:

“There was another good-sized sale of cattle with trade similar to last week. Once again, €3.00/kg was surpassed on numerous occasions.”

“Our turnover once again indicated the excellent price for cattle,” Candler remarked.
