Kilkenny Mart – cattle prices – 09-12-2021

According to George Candler, just under 800 lots changed hands at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday, December 9^th, 2021.

The mart’s auctioneer reported that entry numbers were similar to the previous week with a “very sharp” trade for store bullocks and heifers.

“Beef bullocks and heifers, which increased number-wise compared to last week, met a flying trade,” he remarked.

“Over 200 cull cows were on offer, with continentals to a high of €2.48/kg.”
