VIDEO: Farming 35 cattle on 30-acres

Pete from Just a Few Acres Farm runs 35 head of grass-finished Dexter cattle on 30-acres of grassland.

The herd comprises twelve cows, twelve calves, two bulls, two bullocks and nine yearlings.

He also utilises his multi-purpose fields to make his own hay, without utilising any chemical fertiliser; however, he uses lime to his advantage.

In this video, the YouTuber, who has over 100,000 subscribers, explains how he maximises pasture yields by deploying a 24-hour grazing system and how he adds trace elements to the soil by composting and spreading manure from pigs and poultry.
