Job: Work for one of Ireland’s AI companies

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced full-time herdsperson to work alongside the team in Bova AI, located close to Limerick city.

Applicants should have previous experience with handling livestock, be reliable, show strong work ethic and initiative.

Stock health, nutrition, grassland management, good record-keeping and calving skills would be an advantage but not essential.

The applicant will be responsible for the management of a clean and healthy bull environment and maintaining a high animal welfare and husbandry standard on-farm.

Responsibilities 

Normal duties to include bull handling, tractor and telehandler driving, grassland management, hay/haylage making and general farm tasks as required. Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills also expected.

The position would suit someone with practical experience looking for a long-term position. Accommodation provided if required.
