• Heifers fetched from €1.77 to €2.82 per kg or €330 to €1090 over the kg. Top price over kg – a BBX – 600kg – €1690 – €2.82/kg (lot 17C). Top price per kg – a pair of CHX – 362kg – €1020 – €2.82/kg (lot 17J).
• Weanling heifers clicked from €1.84 to €3.29 per kg or €274 to €655 over the kg. Top price over the kg – a CHX – 355kg – €1010 – €2.85/kg (lot 25T). Top price per kg – a LM – 225kg – €740 – €3.29/kg (lot 24D).

Cattle prices at Headford Mart on Saturday, February 13^th:

• Bullocks fetched from €1.86 to €2.70 per kg or €375 to €845 over the kg;
• Heifers ranged from €1.80 to €2.94 per kg or €285 to €770 over the kg;
• Weanling heifers climbed from €2.15-€2.85 per kg or €375 to €525 over the kg;
• Weanling bulls went under the hammer from €2.08 to €2.77 per kg or €315 to €715 over the kg;
• Cull cows ranged from €1,040 to €1,640;
• Suckler cows pushed from €1,030 to €1,670.

Headford Mart February 20th – Sheep:

• In-lamb ewes from the late Jim Molloy clicked from €196 to €230 for 5 – 3 carrying triplets, 1 carrying a couple and one carrying a single.
• Ewes with lambs at foot varied from €264 to €278 for 4 ewes and 8 lambs.
• Cull ewes pushed from €71 to €121.

Hoggets went under the hammer from €108 to €144 or €2.45 to €2.77/kg:

• 52kg – €144 – €2.77;
• 54kg – €148 – €2.74;
• 44kg – €108 – €2.45.
