• Heifers sold from €1.69 to €3.02 per kg or €230 to €955 over the kg. Top price over kg – a CHX – 525kg – €1480 – €2.82/kg (lot 26E) Top price per kg – a LM – 290kg – €875 – €3.02/kg (lot 34B).

Large entry of ewes with lambs at foot with prices ranging from €178 to €280 for second-crop ewes with couples at foot.

There was a “good turnout of quality cattle” at Headford Mart on Saturday, March 13^th, according to a spokesperson.

• Bullocks ranged from €1.70 to €3.10 per kg or €165 to €1265 over the kg. Top price over the kg – a CHX – 1035kg – €2300 – €2.22/kg (lot 5H champion bullock). Top price per kg – a CHX – 290kg – €900 – €3.10/kg (lot 18Y).
• Heifers went under the hammer from €1.76 to €2.91 per kg or €295 to €910 over the kg. Top price over kg – a CHX – 600g- €1510 – €2.52/kg (lot 32X) Top price per kg – a CHX – 375kg – €1090 – €2.91/kg (lot 37C).
• Weanling heifers clicked from €1.91 to €3.21 per kg or €240 to €740 over the kg. Top price over the kg – a LMX – 340kg – €1080 – €3.18/kg (lot 42). Top price per kg – a LMX – 275kg – €690 – €3.21/kg (lot 47A).
