Headford Mart – cattle prices – 17-07-2021

According to a spokesperson, “another exceptionally large entry of cattle” went under the hammer at Headford Mart on Saturday, July 17^th, 2021.

Headford Mart 17-07-2021:

• Bullocks sold from €1.41 to €3.17 per kg or €207 to €1310 over the kg. Top price over the kg – a CHX – 740kg – €2050 – -€2.77/kg (lot 8D). Top price per kg – a LMX – 375kg – €1190 – €3.17/kg – (lot 5).
• Heifers clicked from €1.73 to €2.92 per kg or €270 to €1090 over the kg. Top price over kg – a CHX – 590kg – €1680 – €2.85/kg (lot 33). Top price per kg – a LMX – 390kg – €1140 – €2.92/kg (lot 29A).
• Weanling bulls made from €2.04 to €3.00 per kg or €255 to €560 over the kg. Top price over the kg and per kg – a pair of LMX – 280kg – €840 – €3.00/kg, (Lot 44A).
• Cull cows varied from €940 to €1870 for a 9-year-old LM – 785kg (lot 208).
• Suckler cows went under the hammer from €950 to €2,170 (lot 601)

• Bullocks climbed from €1.34 to €3.25 per kg or €100 to €1352 over at Headford Mart on Saturday, July 10th;
• Heiferswent under the hammer from €1.91 to €3.10 per kg or €255 to €1130 over;
• Weanling bulls made from €2.21 to €2.90 per kg or €410 to €575 over;
• Cull cows traded from €650 to €1830.

• Culls ranged from €62 to €118.
• Lambs/hoggets sold from €55 to €138 or €2.43 to €3.05 per kg
