Ennis Mart report – cattle prices – 31-08-2021

According to a spokesperson, almost 500 cattle were on offer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, August 31^st, 2021.

They reported that “trade held up on last week and strong numbers of runners on offer with some lovely quality in these”.

“The runner heifers topped out at €890 and runner bulls at €940. A small entry of calves peaked at €535 for a CH bull one-month-old.”

“A special entry of in calf suckler heifers, to a LM bull, averaged €1,827 and peaked at €2,050,” the spokesperson added.

Cattle prices 27-08-2021:

According to a spokesperson, just over 600 lots were on offer at Ennis Mart on Friday, August 27^th, 2021.

They reported that “trade held very strong”. “Large” numbers of forward cattle over the 600kg mark were on offer, with the tops of these hitting €2.77/kg or €1375 over their weight.

“Some great stores also through the sale and these hit a high of €2.83/kg for bullocks over the 500kg bracket. The highest price for a bullock was achieved in the last pen, a LMX bullock 775kg at €2,150.”
