Ennis Mart – cattle prices – 26-10-2021

According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, just under 1,000 lots were on offer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, October 26^th, 2021.

They reported that calves sold to €330, while suckler pairs hit €2,390 and in-calf, lots topped out at €2,190.

Speaking following the sale, the spokesperson said:

“Trade is getting tougher all-round except the top quality bulls. The heifer trade improved  on the week. Quality getting very mixed in the bulls and heifers, but quality runners held okay.”

Bullock prices:

According to a spokesperson, just under 600 bullocks went under the hammer at Ennis Mart on Friday, October 22^nd.

They reported that the sale attracted “large” numbers of 550kgs upwards.

Speaking following the sale at the Clare-based mart, the spokesperson said:

“The quality stores and beef type bullocks held a very strong trade.”

“However, lighter lots and the slightly lesser quality would be back by about €30 to €40 on the week. Demand from the north remained positive.”
