According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, just over 900 lots changed hands at its general cattle sale on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023.

5 lots in this ring exceeded the €3000 mark, and in-calf lots made to €2200.

The spokesperson remarked: “Again, the strong suck calves were a very good trade with a top call of €590 for a 2-month-old LM bull calf.”

“It is great to see calves with more strength available, and farmers were anxious for these.”

“Again €4.00/kg was breached in the bull ring and similar in the heifer ring, with some excellent prices obtained in both categories,” the spokesperson added.
