Ennis Mart report – cattle prices – 22-06-2021

According to a spokesperson, a similar-sized entry went under the hammer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, June 22^nd, 2021.

They reported that “trade could only be described as strong”.

“Some good quality autumn-born weanlings and serious demand for these, both bulls and heifers. Calf numbers were small with 50 on offer but again a great demand. A 3-month-old Charolais heifer calf made €595.”

“Pairs in the suckler ring made to €1,870 and in-calf lots made to €1,690. Two breeding Charolais bulls made €1,910 and €2,200. Farmer demand is extremely strong at present,” the spokesperson added.

Ennis Mart 17-06-2021: 

According to a spokesperson, over 500 lots went under the hammer at its bullock sale on Friday, June 17th.

Young store bullocks met with a farmer driven, trade. “Northern activity was also very strong today for anything with flesh.”  

“Trade could only be described as on fire. Cull cows again met a serious trade topping out at €2.61/kg.  A small entry of cull bulls made to €2.50/kg.”
