Ennis Mart – Cattle Prices – 19-04-2022
According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, just under 800 lots changed hands at Tuesday’s (April 19th, 2022) sale.
They reported that a smaller entry of bull weanlings went under the hammer, but all other categories witnessed increased throughputs.
Furthermore, trade improved in both the heifer and bull rings on the back of “increased” farmer activity.
At Tuesday’s sale, dairy stock made to €1,490, while suckler pairs sold to €2,520.
Predominantly beef breeds were available in the calf ring; continentals fetched up to €525, while Aberdeen Angus calves pushed from €50 to €240 and Hereford-cross calves sold from €145 to €325.
