Ennis Mart report – 17-08-2021

According to a spokesperson, over 400 lots were on offer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, August 17^th, 2021.

They reported that some “cracking” bull weanlings met “a great trade”.

“Trade was similar to last week. Runner numbers starting to increase, and these met a cracking trade. Runner heifers made to €850 and runner bulls sold to €1,090.”

“A very small entry of suckler stock and these made to €1,570 for pairs. Next week is the weanling show and sale.”

• CH – 295kgs – €1,090 – €3.69/kg;
• CHX – 240kgs – €840 – €3.50/kg;

• 2 LMX – 350kgs – €1,050 – €3/kg;
• 1 LMX – 365kgs – €1,080 – €2.95/kg;
• CHX – 400kgs – €1,140 – €2.85/kg.

WEANLING HEIFER PRICES:

• 1 LMX – 260kgs – €870 – €3.34/kg;
• 3 CHX – 283kgs – €830 – €2.92/kg;
• cHX – 320kgs – €1,050- €3.28/kg;
• BAX – 245kgs – €740 – €3.02/kg;
• 1 CHX – 360kgs – €1,160 – €3.22/kg;
• CHX – 420kgs – €1,100 – €2.62/kg.

Ennis Mart 10-08-2021:

According to a spokesperson, just over 300 lots were on offer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, August 10^th, 2021.

They reported that “trade good only be described as very good”.

Heifers reached €2,600, while a small entry of calves topped out at €700 – a price paid for a three-and-a-half-month-old LMX bull.

“A nice entry of sucklers met a brisk trade. Pairs climbed to €2,050, and in-calf stock made to €1,950,” the spokesperson added.
