Ennis Mart report – cattle prices – 14-09-2021

According to a spokesperson, similar to the previous week, almost 550 lots were on offer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, September 14^th, 2021.

They reported that “trade improved in the bull weanlings even though the quality was not as strong as last week in this ring”.

“Trade also up in the weanling heifer ring. Again, some fancy heifers with roan colouring were a super trade.”

They added that runner heifers sold to €810, and runner bulls topped out at €1,020.

“Meanwhile, a selection of in-calf heifers due to calve in the next six weeks averaged €2,000. Only a handful of suck calves were available,” the spokesperson concluded.

Ennis Mart 07-09-2021:

According to the spokesperson, just over 500 lots went under the hammer on Tuesday, September 7^th, 2021.

They reported a “good trade all-round” at the weekly general cattle sale.

“Great trade in the runners especially the heifer runners which topped out at €900 for 280kgs.  Runner bulls hit €960.”

“Again, both heifer and bull weanlings were a very good trade.  A handful of calves available and an Aberdeen Angus bull one-month-old made €370.  A small entry of suckler stock made to €1,770 for a pair.”
