Prices at Ennis Mart

According to a spokesperson, a “strong” trade prevailed across the board at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, July 6th, 2021.

They reported that a slightly smaller entry of weanlings was on offer at the weekly cattle sale.

“Some stock have been held back due to autumn-born weanling sale next week, which is showing a much stronger entry.”

“Trade was strong for both males and females, and some of the second and third-grade stock meeting a very strong trade.”

“A small entry of 30 calves available but some strong calves through the sale and these made to €580.  A small entry of suckling stock and €1,820 was the highest achieved for a pair.”

“A couple of dairy in-calf heifers with time up shortly made €1,300 to €1,390. A very strong trade for a small entry of runners,” the spokesperson added.
