Castlerea Mart – Cattle Prices – 10-11-2022

According to Brendan Egan, over 800 animals passed through the rings at Castlerea Mart on Thursday, November 10^th, 2022.

The mart manager reported that the heifer ring witnessed “excellent” demand, with prices topping at €1850, while dry cows peaked at €2150.

The weanling rings reported a “good” trade with increased Northern activity. Bulls made up to €4.42/kg, and heifers changed hands for up to €3.42/kg.

Cows with calves at foot made up to €2,350, and springers climbed to €1,750 at Thursday’s sale.
