Carnew: Cull cows to €2,180 and bullocks to €2,120

Carnew Mart – Cattle Prices – 22-10-2022

According to David Quinn, over 1,350 lots changed hands at Carnew Mart on Saturday, October 22^nd, 2022.

The mart manager reported that a “very strong” selling trade prevailed at its most recent sale.

He explained that “the sale attracted a large number of customers with farmers and feedlot buyers very active”.

“Prices were similar to last week with tops of €2,180 for cull cows,” Quinn added.

According to David Quinn, Carnew Mart saw a larger entry of some 1,400 cattle pass through the ring at Saturday’s (October 15th, 2022) sale.

The mart manager reported that trade was similar to the previous week with highs of €2,280.

Bullocks hit €2,180, while heifers sold to €2,200 and cull cows reached €2,280.
