Carnew Mart – cattle prices – 15-01-2022 

According to Eugene Clune, yard manager at Carnew Mart, just over 1,050 cattle passed through its gate at Saturday’s (January 15^th) weekly sale.

He reported that “all stock were a very strong trade throughout with prices up €50-€100 per head in cases with one onlooker describing the trade as dangerous”.

“Cows, on the day, were of great quality throughout with all types rising in price consistently,” he remarked.

“All in all, it was a very good sale with top-class prices. This week, cows will be on Friday evening with the bullock and bull show and sale to follow on Saturday.”
